The afternoon editorial at Bull Point Estate was a memorable experience — even with a pouring rainstorm setting the scene.

As one of the newest wedding venues in Nova Scotia, Bull Point Estate made an immediate impression. From the moment we arrived, the setting felt intentional and refined, offering a beautiful balance of natural landscape and elevated design. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout the afternoon, making the entire experience seamless despite the weather. It’s a venue I truly look forward to photographing again.

A Southwestern-Inspired Wedding Editorial in Nova Scotia

From the Planner, Sky’s the Limit

“It all started when my dear friend Marie casually mentioned wanting to create an editorial with a southwestern vibe. I replied — like Yellowstone, but more understated? Her answer was yes, and I was instantly hooked.”

Planning unfolded slowly, weaving together busy schedules and creative ideas, until Bull Point Estate announced itself as the newest venue in the province. From there, everything clicked. The location offered the perfect canvas for a wedding editorial rooted in texture, mood, and understated elegance.

The design vision came together through layers of leather, rich neutrals, jewel tones, and natural wooden elements. Dried florals by High & Dry Florals added softness and movement, while luxurious patterns and textures were kept intentionally subtle — refined, organic, and timeless.

Bringing the Vision to Life

I’m incredibly grateful to Stephanie for coming on board and helping bring this editorial to life. Collaborations like this are always a joy, and this project wouldn’t have been possible without her creative vision and dedication.

Every detail was thoughtfully curated — from the stationery design by Lupin Design to the upscale farm-style atmosphere of Bullpoint Estate. The tablescape blended rentals from Glow the Event Store with carefully selected pieces from Chapters and Homesense, creating a layered and welcoming aesthetic.

A special thank you to Bella Promessa for traveling from Moncton with two stunning gowns and veils that perfectly complemented the editorial’s tone. Models Kaylee and James of The Blondie Locks embodied the vision effortlessly, with hair by Nova Brittney and makeup by Danielle Grasley completing the look. Desserts by Gourmandises Avenue added a final, indulgent touch, while florals by High & Dry and wedding rings from Touch of Gold tied everything together beautifully.
