Take a Knee to Make a Stand

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

The city of Halifax came together last night to pay respect to the Black Lives Matter movement. Thousands were together on Spring Garden Road to take a knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds - to honour George Floyd, a Black man who died in Minneapolis while pleading for air as a white police officer pressed his knee onto his neck.

I wanted to be there to show my support, and also to document this incredible movement with my photography.

Hate cannot drive out hate, only LOVE can do that."
