Showing isn’t just about ribbons — it’s about growth, resilience, and the people cheering you on along the way. For Jaidyn and her mare Oriel, last season was a reminder that progress isn’t measured by outcomes, but by the memories you create in the ring.
What Success Really Looks Like
For Jaidyn, success isn’t defined by ribbons or results.
“A successful show day is one where I have fun no matter the outcome,” she says. “I’m grateful that I have the opportunity to go to shows.”
It’s a perspective rooted in appreciation — for the experience, the learning, and the simple privilege of being in the ring with her horse.
Learning to Laugh It Off
Not every round goes exactly as planned — and Jaidyn knows that’s part of the journey.
When things don’t go her way, she chooses lightness over frustration. She laughs at her mistakes, learns from them, and focuses on doing better in the next round.
That mindset — resilient, forward-thinking, and being kind to herself — is what keeps progress moving in the right direction.
Goals for the Season Ahead
Looking toward the upcoming year, Jaidyn is excited to keep building confidence and experience.
Her goals are clear: to show over fences at more competitions and to move up into the long stirrup division.
Each step forward is about growth — not rushing, but earning every milestone along the way.
The Power of Teamwork
Horse showing may happen one rider at a time, but no one does it alone. Jaidyn’s favorite part of being on a team is the support she feels every single day.
“I always feel supported,” she says. “I always hear someone cheering for me after my rounds.”
Being part of AM Equestrian means knowing there’s encouragement waiting at the ingate — and friends who genuinely want to see her succeed.
Show Day Essentials
Every rider has something they can’t go without. For Jaidyn, it’s her lucky socks — always decorated with four-leaf clovers and worn to every show for a little extra confidence and good luck.
Sometimes, it’s the smallest rituals that help ground us when nerves kick in.
Memories Worth Keeping
When Jaidyn looks back at her gallery, she doesn’t just see images — she sees memories preserved.
“If a friend asked me why they should book a photography package with Marie Roy,” she says, “I’d tell them she always captures the best moments and takes pictures of memories that will last forever.”
And that’s exactly what this season represents: moments worth remembering, joy worth holding onto, and a journey that’s only just beginning.
It Takes a Village
Behind every confident trip into the ring is a team making it possible.
To Ainslie Matheson — thank you for always bringing laughter into the warm-up ring, especially when nerves are high. Your support makes all the difference.
To Alexis — thank you for being an incredible groom, a positive presence, and a true friend who always makes sure the horses (and the days) run smoothly.
